We Offer Two Types of Conversions

Choose Between Standard Definition and Upscale High-Definition Conversions

Choose between Standard Definition (480p) and AI-Enhanced High-Definition Upscaling (1080p / 4K). Upscaling ensures vintage low-resolution content crisply fills your modern widescreen display rather than being confined to a small box.

Native 4:3 Aspect Ratio

Standard Definition (SD)

A direct, bit-accurate transfer of original analog video resolution (480i/480p). Displays in the original 4:3 format with pillarbox borders on modern widescreen TVs.

  • Original native resolution (480p)
  • Preserves original analog grain and scan lines
  • Standard file sizes for quick transfer
  • Universal playback on all devices

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about tape condition, turnaround times, and safe studio handling.

What happens if my tape is blank or unplayable? +
We inspect every tape prior to digitization. If a tape is completely blank, unrecorded, or copyrighted TV broadcast that cannot be transferred, you are not charged the full digitization rate—only a minor inspection fee.
Can you repair broken, snapped, or moldy tapes? +
Yes. We perform physical splicing, cassette shell transplants, leader repairs, and light mold remediation in-house before running media through our broadcast decks.
What is the typical turnaround time? +
Standard turnaround is typically 7 to 14 business days depending on the size of your archive. Rush services (24–48 hours) are available upon request for memorials or upcoming family events.
Do I get my original tapes and reels back? +
Always. Your original analog tapes and film reels are carefully boxed and returned to you alongside your new digital media (USB drive, hard drive, or cloud download).
